ABOUT SAHARA DAWN
Resilient survivor and mystic visionary, weaving the ancient spirit of Persia into transformative musical odysseys."
Sahara Dawn is a Persian–Japanese audiovisual artist, director, producer, singer/songwriter, and bassist creating immersive ancient-future experiences through deep live bass, haunting raw vocals, and mind-bending sonic landscapes. Blending organic textures and biomechanical sound design with world fusion influences and the ancient Persian spirit, her work evokes emotionally charged ceremonial journeys. Emerging from Tehran’s underground psychedelic scene as one of the city’s first female bass players, her artistry bridges ritual, rebellion, and futuristic electronic sound through transformative live performances.
Born in Tehran during a time when artistic freedom and women’s expression were heavily suppressed, Sahara risked her safety organizing underground creative gatherings in defiance of the regime to preserve artistic expression and human connection. Her journey eventually led her to London’s Access to Music School through the support of the British ambassador, marking the beginning of an international artistic path shaped by resilience, exile, and transformation.
Now based in the United States, Sahara Dawn is recognized for immersive live performances that merge hypnotic rhythms, deep live bass lines, haunting vocals, cinematic sound design, and visionary visuals into multidimensional ceremonial experiences. Her performances dissolve the boundary between music, atmosphere, storytelling, and ritual, drawing from Persian musical traditions, Japanese spiritual minimalism, Sufi philosophy, organic instrumentation, and cutting-edge electronic production. Through her work, she explores themes of rebirth, consciousness, feminine power, healing, and liberation.
Beyond music, Sahara is also a visionary event producer and advocate for women’s rights whose art serves as a vehicle for empowerment, healing, and social awareness. Her forthcoming EP, Rebirth of a Soul, is an autobiographical body of work inspired by near-death experiences, profound personal transformation, and years of spiritual exploration. Accompanied by celestial digital artwork published internationally through Chapel of Sacred Mirrors’s Entheon: Celebrating Visionary Art’s Timeless Journey, the project expands her creative universe into a fully immersive ancient-future mythology.
With a sound and visual identity often described as “ancient future,” Sahara Dawn continues to carve a singular lane within contemporary electronic and visionary art culture — merging music, immersive environments, cinematic storytelling, and transformational performance into experiences that are both transcendent and culturally resonant.
